With only 7 members total (including officers) at the October meeting, we decided to table the acceptance of the by-law changes until the November meeting with the hopes of better participation by our club members. Attached is the document as it was presented at the meeting. To better understand the document, anything in normal text is unchanged from the previous document. Anything underlined is new text added to the document, and anything with a line through it is being deleted from the document. The last several pages is the cleaned up documement as it would read when finished.It was presented in the meeting that there are no major changes to the way we do things now, this document provides better clarification in the following areas:
Officer responsibilities
safety violations protocol
officer nominations and elections
There is new text that addresses the following areas:
Board of directors including the 4 elected officers plus all standing and temporary comittee chairmen. The three standing commitee chairs will include: newsletter editor, safety officer and field maitenance officer.
1/2 price dues for new members joining after august 1
liquidation of accets in case the club needs to be dissolved
There are several minor additions that are clearly ststed in the document. It is the intention of the boart to approve these changes at the next meeting so they will go into effect with the new board of directors on Jan. 1. Please remember that the board has many hours in the development of this document. This is not a "slapped together" document. Any comments regarding this document should be made at the November meeting. This forum is not the proper meduim for open discussion of the changes. I will upload the final document as soon as I figure out how!!???
