OLD CAR!

This is my new airplane hauler

it's a 1978 Mini Clubman Estate. YES, a Mini COOPER wagon! It is a Mini Cooper but it's just a different model and the only difference is that the wheel base is 4" longer then the mini sedan and has a different front nose from the traditional cooper nose, and of course, it's a station wagon.

I simply love it!  it's right hand drive, straight from England. It has a 1098cc 4 cylinder engine with a 4 speed manual, Um.... it needs a full restoration on the body (no problem!) and needs a full interior restoration. Basicly, when my Dad and I are finished with it, it's gonna look like it just drove off the factory floor.  I am also gonna take my time on the interior and make it look like the new age cars. I want the classic look on the outside and a futuristic look on the inside. I am also researching and planning on using no guages, only LCD screens as my indicators. I plan on having two cameras on the right and left rear courners instead of using the mirrors, so I will have a 180 degree view of the back. Alls i will have to do is look down at the split screen LCD monitor to make sure I'm not gonna cut any one off.  Yes, I will not take off the mirrors (looks ugly without them) I just don't like the small little tiny mirrors that have very little rear visibility.  The car is kinda ugly the way it sits right now, but it won't be when we're finished.

The biggest plane I can fit inside is my 74" EF Yak. I still have to take off the elevators to get it to fit! But at 45mpg I don't care.

hope yall like it. I'm hoping to have it fully restored by the end of the year.
