Chris has posted the 08 dates they are May 3rd and 4th.
Check out www.rccombat.com for details and to sign up.
This year will feature 3 classes Open B : 2548 Scale and SSC.
SSC is "slow survivable combat" this means 15 size engines with weight and RPM limits. This might be the "beginner class" you have been waiting for.
You can contact Chris Handegard or myself to jump in and get started.

Just a quick reply to let you know someone is out here.
If anyone cares to check in here to let me know you will be there to help out that would be nice.

Thanks for checking in Brian, I don't expect to hear from much of anyone else on this forum trying to volunteer. Is your dad an AMA member? I can't let anyone that close to the combat box without it. If he wants to help the club in other ways where it's safer, up to you.
I've done what I could to recruit judges and the event is well advertised, so we'll see who's there on judgement day.

 THIS STINKS!!!
Bushwacked 08 is the same day as my uncle's funeral! CRAP!
I was SOOO looking forward to ripping you guys apart (competing) !! And I know I can't miss my uncle's funeral, family are coming down from outa state. I can't wait to see my cousin but man, this STINKS!! : ( SUNDAY, maybe, if I can build a combat plane quickly, yes, there might be a chance to compete in scale, if I get some bluecore foam and design a scaler.
I can't believe it.
I will probably be out later in the day after the funeral with my family so they can check out the comp
