Dan I talked to Chris on Sunday about the school. It appears the gym is down for some floor maintenance. Chris assured me that he would make a post on the forums when we have the green light to go. I would suggest checking the site for updates.

To all indoor pilots: I was at the school today, and the finishing touches were being done to the paint on the gym floor. It needs to cure for 7 days before the wax can be put on. The wax is only a day or two for application, so it looks like we will be up and going in 2 weeks . I will continue to post updates, and hopefully we can give it a go on the 20th. Feel free to drop a line here or give me a call (791-9086). By the way, If anyone has anything suitable for indoor use for sale, let me know. I am looking foward to giving it a go. I am going to put together a small channel board for use in the gym. I will include a few clips for the spectrum radios to maintain the club practice similar to the field. If there is anything else that will be needed for indoor flying, let me know and I will do what I can to have the site ready. Chris Martindale

********************Update*********************** We are a go for indoor flying at Wellington Landings Middle School this Monday night (8-20). I will be at the school from 6:30pm to 9:00 ish. Directions to the school: Southern Blvd. west (about 6-7 miles west of the turnpike). Turn left on Binks Forest Drive. Binks Forest runs directly into the school. The gym is in the back left of the school. Follow the signs. The club is signing a lease for the gym use for 2 nights a month. Please let me know if you want to go every 2nd and 4th Monday nights. Please only bring planes that are for indoor use. If there is any damage to the floor or walls, that will be the end of our using the gym. Since the club is siging the lease, the use of the gym for indoor flying will be for club members only. If you are not a member of the club, bring your $25 to the school. If I forgot anything, let me know. See everyone Monday night. Chris Martindale

WOOT! now we can huck with eeze.
problem solver..... since we cannot damage the walls or the floor maybe we should lay some rules down.
I believe having a prop adapter will hurt the floor badly if you have a nose down crash... prop savers might be the solution to this, or mount a GWS rubber spinner over the prop adapter. also, I think a foamy should weigh under 10 oz ... unless your as good as Quique Somenzini (AKA creater of 3D flying) you can fly a 20oz hucker! lol. other than that, BALLS TO THE WALL baby!

If there is any indication that the planes can scratch the floor, There is a protective cover that we can roll out. It is a minor pain, but it might be worth the time to make sure that nothing is damaged. It takes about 5 minutes to put down and pull up with a few guys. CM

a foamy under 10 oz will most likely not scratch the floor if the motor did not hit directly first. with a prop adapter (metal) if it hit first before any other part of the plane with some power I believe it will leave a small chip or scratch. if a rubber spinner could be put over the prop adapter and this type of crash happened the floor would be ok. I mean, basket ball shoes are rubber? with a 170-200lbs guy over the rubber and no scratches.... and the prop savers (no adapter just a rubber band holding the prop on) those should have no problem with the floor.
