I'm a student at the University of Florida and I am down home in west palm beach for the summer. I have a variety of RC planes, the latest being a Modeltech Magic Funfly. I used to fly regularly at Soccer fields and open parks about 3 years ago. I started gathering all of my stuff together recently and fixed the damage that the Magic sustained while stored in my garage.

I've been to the dyer park field a few times without my planes just to watch and hang out.

I went out to the field Wednesday afternoon just to see if anyone was out there flying so I could spectate, but unfortunately there was no one there. I'm trying to figure out when is a good time to go out to the field to watch people fly. I work during the week but have all day Wednesday off. I realize that there's probably not a set time or day when people come out to fly, but I was just curious to see if anyone could give me a relative time when they think I have a chance.

I was gonna try to head up there this weekend but my cousin's wedding was saturday and all of the family was in town, so I was pretty busy all wkend. I might try to head up there next wkend.

How was the wind? I noticed that it was pretty strong when I went up there during the week.

well the wind was some what in our favor, at least it was down the runway. its a pretty common thing here and when your up on the hill, it just seems to get worse. but, there are good days as well!!!! just have to wait for them....lol hope to meet you this comming weekend...

Yea... The few times that I had been up there the weather was perfect, but I noticed the last couple times I was up there it was extremely windy. 

Only a couple of diehards fly when the wind is up. On sunday afternoon you might catch Chris and I practicing combat.

Your magic will harrier backwards if the wind is right. It looks cool to land in reverse if you got the nerve.

I made it to the hill today (6/4/07) the wind was down and the usuals were coming back out.  It was a great day for 3D. tail touching on the asphalt. The wind did not pick up at all until about 11:00am.

With any luck I will be back on Sunday.
