This is a first time event and we are a friendly bunch. I realize that your vision of sprawling vendors might not be what we are seeing for a first time event but it will be advertised and I hope that by not having it on Easter we will get a good turn out to sell some stuff. Hey I might come home with more stuff that I brought.
Your Idea of maybe a door prize giveaway for vendors has merit and I may solicit a donation(s) for that.
I don't envision people coming from out of state or much more than the tri- county area. But I am passing the word through clubs in Broward and Martin County and ST Lucie. mostly through e-mail
"Do you guys even know the feeling I have right now? have you guys ever been to a swap meet and actually sold stuff? do you know what it feels to be a seller?"
Do you know what it like to organize an event with lots of critics?
As much time as you have spent critisizing on the forum. I could use the help if you would post some positive stuff on other boards to get a good ball rolling.

I take that as a "no" then.
I'm not saying anything more about this event, I guess you guys can't see or feel what I feel since you guys have never been a seller/vendor at other swap meets so.. I'm not mad at any of you guys, I hope all goess well with this event and good luck!
Cyall this Sunday at the field. Going to maiden my EF Yak 54!

Dan I have been to many A swap meet to sale and to buy. To give you A idea Delray gives you A 8 by 4 foot table if you want A 2nd table you pay. And yes it is A fund raiser the same reason delray has it. And Dan we are not forcing you to attend. Also the club members at the club meeting voted on the time date and etc. of said swap meet. We are doing are best sorry we cant make every one happy but as I said before this was voted on if you want your vote to count then please place it at the meeting.

Dan we are not sure of how many will show thats why we are asking to E-mail Craig to secure your spot. Not sure if we should close the field yet the west end of the parking lot is where we will set up if we need more space we will start to move into the heli pad area. We will keep you posted thanks for the input.

After all is done I was amazed at what a great turn out. It appeared everyone had fun and lots of room was made for new toys. I wanted to that all the vendors for bringing out there planes and such for us to gawk and hagle over. I also wanted to thank the club members that gave there time to put this event on.
Big Steve our registrar/ cashier
Mike for filling in were ever needed
Phil for remembering the vendor door prize
and Wayne who always comes through with the shopping trip to pick up groceries
Hey I will even thank Brian for bringing me lunch
I saw a lot of good things happen today to promote our sport and to show goodwill to the aeromodeling community. I recieved alot of compliments on some to good things that people saw. I also recognize the need for improvment in other areas (mainly an unloading area and parking) I did see a couple of foamy fliers attempt to use the closed heli pad area but some quick policing stopped that. I know that Brian and I answered questions for some potential newbies. All and all a great day.
Congrats Jamie on winning the Tango. It is always good to see a club member win such a nice door prize
If you saw something I didn't or feel that you have an idea to improve this type of event, feel free to email me at the club mailbox craig@rcbushpilots.com
