Well i have been on the hunt for a new plane to fly and i have made up my mind. i am going to be building a Decathlon from WWW.rcguys.com its a great 40-50cc plane and i can drop my smoke it her and have a really nice sunday flyer.

 

So Scott, were is yours???? will i be done before you????



 

Here is my choice of recolor......... which one do you all like? i,m leaning towards the blue one....

Yeah, I think I kinda like the blue one a little more, but the red is really sweet too.  The blue just feels a bit more classic.

Thats why i decided to put that color choice up. so i think thats what im going with.  this should be fun to do and fly...lol

Good choice for a new plane Phil.

Most likely the ony way I'll get her done is by coming to the field so you can keep busting my flying wires

I'll get a hold of you to make a trip to pick up everything I need, which is what ever you get....... so just get two of each!

I'll have to post some of my old Decathlon photos, Bright Yellow with Navy Blue and White.  It looked great.

I will order my engine this week.....promise

Well its like christmas all over again...lmao  Tears of joy!!!! man i love this plane. i have to go and do some hunting for pics again so that i can redesign it a bit. oh joy to meeeee.....lmao

Of couse its not done yet....lol he is waiting on me to go shopping with him to get his STUFF.......

Well after the $20 bucks of "junk" I sold at the swap meet, less $10 bucks for the space, $2 buck for soda, the $8 bucks net should about cover it.

Good thing the wife thinks I sold well over $500 worth of attic space!!!!

Lets get to it.

ps all the stuff I had at the meet is still available...............Cheap

I checked out RC Guys last night I dont see a choice of colors I wanted to see pics of the blue and white one.

I have seen Phils plane very sweet guys.Would look great with the new Hanger-9 floats on one just need A big pond.Get to covering Phil You have A lot of work ahead of ya.

Well all i can say is let the games begin. the covering is off and one wing panel is complete. Eddie has some pics if me and the plane in the bones.....not to mention im sitting in a pile of shredded coverings on his living room floor.... as soon as he emails them to me i will post them up. come on scott get with it...lmao

Looks like Phils idea to recover might not be bad, given the bad reviews the covering is getting.
